Physical sales still ruling the German music market

A long-time characteristic for the German music market are the strong physical sales, and 2014 was no exception to this trend.

“While in many other countries physical sound carriers have decreased rapidly within just a few years, CDs and records in Germany last year still accounted for about 75 percent of sales,” says Florian Drücke from Bundesverband Musikindustrie.
