SPOTlight 2014 part two

This weekend, we’re SPOTlighting some of the more than 350 foreign and 800 Danish music industry people attending SPOT Festival 2014. We’ve asked them a couple of questions each, and here are their answers:

 

Name: Dominic Squire, UK – Full Time Hobby

Have you been to SPOT festival before? No, it’s my first time. First time in Denmark as well, actually.

Which concerts are you looking forward to the most this year? Wow, there’s a lot. Chorus Grant, Less Win, Schultz & Forever and many more.

Do you have a favorite Danish band? I really like Pinkunoize, who’re signed with us. Also Efterklang.

 

Name: Max Domma, DE – Reeperbahn Festival

Is this your first time at SPOT Festival? It’s my third, actually.

Are you looking forward to any concerts in particular? I really look forward to Blaue Blume and Sekuoia.

Which Danish band is your favorite? Mø!

 

Name: Mathias Kurth, DE – c/o pop Festival

Hi Mathias, is this your first time at SPOT? It’s my second. Last year was my first.

Which concerts are you particularly looking forward to? Blaue Blume! Also Vök and Truls.

Do you have a favorite Danish band? Iceage, I think.

 

Name: Mads Vraa, DK – No3

So, how many times have you been to SPOT Festival? Too many to count. More than 10.

Do you have any must-see concerts at this years’ SPOT? Of our own artists we have Kill J, Sivas, Ukendt Kunstner and Lord Siva. I’m also personally looking forward to Julias Moon.

Which Danish band is your favorite? I would say Kill J.

 

Name: Sidse Gry Jeppesen, DK – Volcano

Hi Sidse, how many times how you been to SPOT Festival? 6 or 7 times, I think.

Do you have any bands at this years’ festival? We have Broken Twin who’s playing today (friday). Personally I’m looking forward to seeing Lower, Iceage, Less Win, Hand of Dust and Quick Quick Obey.

Which Danish band is your favorite? That’s a tough question… Mew, I think.

 

Name: Andrew Whittaker, UK – R&S Records

Is this your first time at SPOT? Yeah, it is.

Are there any bands that you look forward to seeing this year? Actually I’m most excited for the chance to stumble upon something new that I don’t know.

Do you have a favortie Danish band? Iceage.

 

Name: Michael Kolepke, DE – Haldern Pop

Hi, is this your first time at SPOT? Yeah, its my first time, but my company has attended before.

Are you particularly excited for any concerts this year? Yeah, I’m looking forward to Alcoholic Faith Mission, Sleep Party People, Tusq and The White Album.

Do you have a favorite Danish band? Alcoholic Faith Mission, I would say.

 

Name: Robin Shaw, DE – Selective Artists

Hi Robin, have you been to SPOT before? Yeah, once. So this is my second time.

Which concerts are you looking forward to the most? Mont Oliver and My Heart the Brave.

Which Danish band is your favorite? I really enjoy Asbjørn.

 

Name: Joerg Peters, DE – Humming Records

Have you been to SPOT Festival before? No, this is my first time.

Are you looking forward to seeing any concerts in particular? Yeah, I’m really excited for Mont Oliver and Sekuoia.

Do you have a favorite Danish band? Kellermensch!

 

Name: Arne Dee, NL – Nordic Delight

Hi, how many times have you been to SPOT before? This is my 4th year.

Which bands are you most excited to watch this year? Get you Gun, Broken Trees, Nelson Can, Treefight for Sunlight… I can keep going. I’m most excited for the bands that I haven’t seen before, actually.

Which Danish bands are your favorite? VETO and Baby in Vain.
