Can you tell us a bit about the company’s history and its roster? Because Éditions was founded along with sister label Because Music in 2005, and has since grown into the largest independent publisher in France. It is home to catalogues such as Daft Punk, Suprême NTM, Metronomy, Christine and the Queens, Manu Chao and Justice.

– and a bit about the acts you personally work with at this moment? Recently I worked on finding a reggaeton feature for our rapper Lartiste. This resulted in the single « Peligrosa » , which features Karol G. I also A&R’ed the latest EP by English disco group Patawawa, and am developing a cloud rap producer called NXXXXXS. Oh and I’ve also just signed an exciting French rapper called Retro X!

What was the moment you decided you wanted to work with music? I decided I wanted to work in music when I met Lyor Cohen. I had always been obsessive about discovering music and the history of the business, so when I heard Lyor was coming to my university to give a talk , I found his contact details and picked him up at the airport. We got along so well he gave me my first A&R job at 300 ent in NY. That’s where it all started really.

What are your favourite Danish acts? My favorite Danish acts are Trentemøller, Oh Land, First Hate and a young singer called Kwamie Liv. Without forgetting Liss of course! We represent them in France.

Best show you’ve ever seen hands down? Best live show is Simian Mobile Disco 🙂
