MXD Spotlight @ Reeperbahn Festival 2015 – part four

Asbjørn Hæstrup

We’re back with our MXD-Spotlight series! This time we’re showing the faces of the music industry at Reeperbahn Festival. Here’s some of the more than 200 music business people, who attended MXD’s Networking event prior to the Danish Night at Reeperbahn.

Marion Noëlle, Ever Music

Hi Marion, what are you looking for at Reeperbahn? I’m looking for international acts, who’re good on stage and compatible with the Swiss market. I want creme de la creme!

Tess Rochholz, AdP Records

What sort of bands are you looking for? Mostly indie-pop and electro. We did the last Eclectic Moniker album, actually.

Did you see any concerts that you liked so far? Yeah, I really liked Kat Vinter yesterday

Pelle Thiedemann, A.S.S. Concerts

What genres do you work with? We mostly do classic rock.

What are you looking for here at Reeperbahn? We’re looking for venues and festivals in Scandinavia to work with.

Esther Mai, Kulttempel/Kultteller

What sort of bands do you book? Initially, we only booked Rockabilly and gothic stuff, but we’re looking to expand our range. So at the moment we’re looking for all sorts of bands. Our venue has a capacity of around 1500 people, so the bands needs to be able to pull that sort of crowd in Germany.

Are you looking forward to any of the bands in particular? I saw Lydmor & Bon Homme at SPOT Festival, and I really liked it. I love Förtress as well.

Vincent Nicod, AFX Booking

Which artists do you work with? I currently only work with one: Alo Wala. But I’m looking to expand to other artists in urban/electronic/alternative.

Are you looking forward to any of tonight’s concerts in particular? I think Lydmor & Bon Homme sound interesting.

Matt Greer, HTC Management

What genres are you looking for? Primarily rock. I’m currently working with Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes. Europe is a really big priority for us at the moment.

Are you excited about any shows tonight? Yeah, The Awesome Welles sound cool.

Mik Christensen, Mermaid Records

Hi Mik, what types of artists are you working with? Mostly rock and pop. We’ve signed Go Go Berlin, D.A.D, Lydmor, Freja Kirk, among others.

Are you looking for anything special this year at Reeperbahn? Yeah, we’re looking for the right label for Lydmor in Germany, Switzerland and Benelux.

Jeff Beaulieu, Hopeful Tragedy Records

What sort of artists are you working with? Well, we don’t go for any genres in particular. For example, we’re working with Your Favorite Enemies, currently.

What are you looking for at Reeperbahn? We’re especially looking for booking agents in Scandinavia.
