In the weeks leading up to SPOT Festival 2025, we’ll be introducing you to the international industry professionals who have been invited to this year’s festival by Danish artists and music companies through MXD’s new invitation pool.
Here, you can meet:
Name: Tamara Kaminska
Company: Music Export Poland/ Music Week Poland
Title: CEO
Based in: Warsaw
Can you tell us a bit about the company’s history and its roster?
Music Export Poland was founded in 2018 to support the international promotion of Polish music and artists across all genres. The organization works closely with musicians, managers, and labels to build bridges between the Polish music industry and international markets. Its roster represents a wide variety of Polish talent, from emerging independent artists to established acts ready for global stages. In 2025, Music Export Poland launched a new initiative, Music Week Poland, the first international music industry event of its kind in the country. Music Week Poland aims to connect Polish and international professionals through concerts, conferences, and networking, strengthening Poland’s position on the global music map.
And can you tell us a bit about the acts you personally work with at this moment?
As a national music export office and the organizer of the new Music Week Poland event, we don’t represent specific acts directly. Our role is to support the entire Polish music ecosystem by creating opportunities for artists, managers, and labels to connect internationally. Rather than working with a set roster, we collaborate across genres and sectors to promote Polish music as a whole. Music Week Poland is designed to be a platform for showcasing a wide range of talents rather than focusing on individual acts. Our mission is to build bridges and open new doors for the entire Polish music community.
What was the moment you decided you wanted to work with music?
The turning point for me was when I successfully led the effort to have Katowice recognized as a UNESCO City of Music. Before that, I was managing a multidisciplinary cultural institution, working across different art forms. Achieving this international recognition made me realize how powerful and meaningful music can be as a driving force for cultural identity and collaboration. After that success, I decided to fully focus my professional life on music. It felt like a natural step to dedicate myself to supporting artists and building international connections through music
Best show you’ve ever seen hands down?
As an unconditional fan of David Byrne, I’d probably have to say his show — although it would be a bit unfair, because I’ve been lucky enough to see so many amazing concerts in my life
