[MXD Networking @ SPOT 2025] Meet Tomasz Olszewski

Can you tell us a bit about the company’s history and its roster?
POLVINYL was established several years ago with the aim of developing traditional pressing technology and expanding it with advanced technologies to give artists, publishers and collectors new experiences of perceiving, selling and enjoying music. The team consists of Dr Dominik Tomczyk, an experienced businessman, Krzysztof Furgała, a sound engineer and businessman, and Tomasz Olszewski, known in Poland as ‘Mr Vinyl’, an entrepreneur in the music industry, author of ‘Książka o winylach’ (‘The Book of Vinyl’) and a vinyl freak!
And can you tell us a bit about the acts you personally work with at this moment?
We provide services and do not work with individual artists or publishers. But we have bands that are friends of ours and like to experiment with us, such as DEAD STAR TALK (Germany/Denmark), DAGADANA (Poland/Ukraine) and Didi Hamper (Poland). They represent very different musical genres, but what they have in common is a love of sound quality, production and innovation.
What was the moment you decided you wanted to work with music?
That question is probably for the artists, because I don’t deal with music in that sense, we press vinyl records.
Which acts are you looking forward to seeing this year at SPOT?
This will be my first time in Denmark, and I would like to discover as much music from your region as possible. It’s hard to say whose performance I’m looking forward to the most.
