MXD ser frem til at byde otte stærke A&R’s fra Tyskland velkommen, når de i juni måned gæster København over to dage. Projektet er en del af årets Neustart program, og er arrangeret af MXD. Der bliver rig mulighed for at networke med de otte A&R’s, og MXD opfordrer også branchen til at række ud til delegationen mht. møder, listening sessions etc.

Hvem kommer?

De tyske A&R’s kommer fra Universal Music Group, Budde Music, Cloud Hill, Irrsinn, Neubau Music, Roba Music Publishing, People Want to Dance og Redroad Management. Læs mere om de tyske gæster nederst i denne artikel.

Netværksmiddagene:

Vi tilbyder et begrænset antal åbne pladser til de to netværksmiddage (i alt 16 pladser fordelt på de to aftener) til den danske musikbranche, idet vi ønsker at give plads til en personlig, kvalitativ dialog.

Og da vi ønsker at give plads til så mange danske musikselskaber som muligt, kan vi maksimalt tilbyde en enkelt plads per selskab.

Ansøgeren skal søge personligt. De 16 danske deltagere udvælges af MXD’s direktør og to medlemmer fra bestyrelsen, baseret på relevansen af ​​deres ansøgning til arrangementet. Når først de er valgt, er pladserne personlige og kan ikke overdrages.

Paris Sinner is an A&R, artist & product manager at Irrsinn based in Berlin looking after Giant Rooks (Label), PaulWetz (Label), nand (Label), Ansu (Management), Elias/ELI (Label/Management). He’s also founder of Autta Space Music management agency working with Cloudy June, Naked Cameo & Kidd Azzurra. Before joining Irrsinn, Paris worked as Senior International Marketing manager at Sony Music Germany from 2018 – 2022 handling the international campaigns for artists such as Purple Disco Machine, Dynoro, Imanbek, HVME, Evanescence & Amon Amarth out of Germany for Europe and ROW.

Max Paproth is Vice President of A&R Central Europe at Universal Music Group. Paproth joined Universal Music Group from Sony/ATV, where he was Head of Creative for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Prior to that, he worked for independent music publisher Budde Music for more than a decade, serving as Chief Executive of its UK operations. Throughout his career, Paproth has been responsible for signing artists including Alma, Milky Chance, Annenmaykantereit, Felix Jaehn, Wincent Weiss, Joris, Max Giesinger, Moderat, Digitalism, and Cubeat. In his position at Universal’s Berlin offices Paproth is responsible for signing and developing European and international talent activating creative opportunities between domestic UMG labels and local artists within Central Europe and supporting Universal Music Germany’s A&R team on future projects.

Christoph Kregl started his career in the music industry when he founded “redroad” at the age of 15 as a booking agency in Linz, Austria. Soon redroad became a boutique management company and record label administering all music rights. With the success of the band Bilderbuch, which became the biggest and most important German-speaking art-pop band, redroad.management proved the efficiency of a small structure that stands for long-term commitment and deep identification with the content of its artists. Based in Berlin redroad.management is in long time relations with Bilderbuch, Mavi Phoenix, Alex The Flipper and UCHE YARA.

Andreas Weitkämper has been in the music business for over 25 years, including 16 years at Warner Music, where he served as Managing Director Domestic. He has signed and worked with acts such as The Rasmus, Jennifer Rostock, Bausa, and Robin Schulz, the most successful artist in Warner Music’s 50-year history in Germany.Despite his leadership role at a major label, Andreas Weitkämper spent his free time learning to code, programming Alexa skills. He left the company in early 2022 to found a future-oriented dance label. Andreas’ career began early at Verstärker and Rough Trade. His passion for and deep understanding of music are now successfully coupled with technology in his new electronic music label People Want To Dance.

Dan Glaunsinger is an A&R Manager at ROBA Music Publishing, one of the leading independent music publishing companies in Germany. Even during his music business studies, Dan became a self-employed artist manager and social media coach. Currently, in addition to his A&R duties, Dan works as a consultant, speaker, and board member of the Hamburg cultural promotion association, RockCity. With his extensive knowledge and experience in the music industry, Dan is a valuable asset to the ROBA team and the wider music community.

Jasper Niebuhr is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of NEUBAU Music, a management, publishing, and label entity that aims to meet the demands of artists and the new requirements of the music market. He founded NEUBAU Music with the vision of paving the way for new approaches in music marketing. Since 2018, NEUBAU Music has included the label imprint Humming Records, which boasts a roster of talented artists such as ÄTNA, Fil Bo Riva, Moglii, and Luz. Jasper Niebuhr’s expertise in the music industry has enabled him to steer NEUBAU Music towards a future of innovative and sustainable success.

NEUSTART is a joined initiative by the Danish genre organisations, Music Export Denmark and the Danish embassy in Berlin. The purpose of the initiative is to help a new start for the music scenes and strengthen the cooperation on music between Denmark and Germany.
