The fifth edition of the Nordic Music Trade Mission to the US will take place digitally and from the 9-18th of November

This time the focus will be country-wide, versus our usual focus on LA, and we will be opening a part of the program to a wider number of participants to give an opportunity to more professionals to have a basic understanding of best practices of working with the US market. The Nordic Trade Mission is a collaboration between the five Nordic Export Offices, NOMEX.

As an industry professional you can apply for two different programs depending on your needs and company activities:
 
Program 1, Introductory Content (Nov. 9-10th):
  • Webinar with a focus on best practices when dealing with the American business culture.
  • Webinar focusing on Visa Information with two immigration law specialists.
  • Webinar on licensing in the US, with a focus on synch licensing business, contracts, and collecting income with an experienced entertainment lawyer and publishing administrator.
    (Please note, participants will have to take part in all three seminars and they will take place in the afternoon and early evening).

Program 2, Sync Trade Mission (Nov. 9, 11, 10, 17 and 18th):
  • Webinar with a focus on best practices when dealing with the American business culture.
  • Webinar focusing on Visa Information with two immigration law specialists.
  • Webinar Licensing in the US, with focus on synch licensing business, contracts, and collecting income with an experienced entertainment lawyer and publishing administrator.
Plus dedicated synch content including:
  • 10 of the 20 trade mission companies will have the opportunity to present & pitch to a well-known music supervisor and a representative of White Bear PR, who will provide constructive feedback on each pitch and help each company hone their presentation skills.
  • Companies will get the opportunity to present an artist they represent to 4-5 music supervisors and sync agents. The music supervisors will also present what currently working on.
    (Please note this program is limited to four seats per Nordic Country,  and participants will have to take part in all seminars which will take place in the late afternoon and evenings.)
 
As a film composer, you can apply for the Composer Mission, taking place 12th, 13th, and 16th of November in the evenings. 
 
Program Film Composers:
In collaboration with White Bear PR, 10 Nordic film composers get to ‘virtually’ travel to Los Angeles to introduce themselves to gatekeepers and professionals in the film industry.
The program includes a pitching session, company meetings, as well as conversations with agents, music supervisors, and other gatekeepers. 
(Limited to two seats per Nordic country, and participants will have to take part in all seminars which will take place in the evenings.)
 

APPLY TO ATTEND, all applications need to be received by Thursday, October 22th, 2020.

The Danish delegation for all programs will be selected by MXD’s board members who will in particular look at the sales potential of the artists represented by the company.
 
For the film composers, the final choice will be made by White Bear PR. 
 
All applicants will be informed about the outcome by October 27th.
