Can you tell us a bit about the company’s history and its roster?

Høllafæst started in 2018 as a music festival located in Svolvær, capitol of the Lofoten islands in Norway. The venue is located on a small island outside Svolvær, just a 5 minutes’ drive from the town center. Høllafæst´s focus in terms of music is pop, urban and electronic music. We always strive to find young up and coming talent and we have a record for being amongst the first festivals to showcase what now is some of the biggest artists in the country. Breathtaking surroundings with mountains and endless ocean view combined with a fresh lineup have made the festival into one of the most popular festivals in the northern part of Norway. The limited capacity of 3500 each day makes the festival exclusive, and people travel from all over the country to take part.

Over the past six years we have had basically almost every big Norwegian act, as well as some smaller international acts. Here are some acts that have been on stage at Hølla:
Dagny, Sondre Justad, Highasakite, Undergrunn, Kamelen, bbno$ (CA- this year), Lemaitre, Matoma, Arif, STIG BRENNER, Ramón, Emma Steinbakken, Marstein, Ballinciaga, Roc Boyz, Ka2, Jonas Benyoub, Isah, Kjartan Lauritzen, Scarlet Pleasure (DK), Jada (DK), BOABOA (DK- this year), Neon Priest (DK- this year).

Our crowd is young, mainly between 20-25 years old.

And can you tell us a bit about the acts you personally work with at this moment?

Right now I try to locate talent for 2025 and 2026. As a small festival we have to be smart in terms of booking. We always strive to catch the talent as early as possible to make it affordable for us. That is one of many reasons why I look forward for SPOT festival. I have good insight in the Norwegian music scene, but we want to expand our knowledge.

What was the moment you decided you wanted to work with music?

Actually I´ve been working with music since 2005 when I was 13 years. Started as a DJ and party organizer at the youth club, and have been doing both ever since. Also I’m a horrible singer so I couldn’t join a boyband.

Which acts are you looking forward to seeing this year at SPOT?

Im going through the lineup right now, so I’m not quite ready to answer yet. So far I really like Lasse Matthiesen and Wiinston, and will for sure check out Neon Priest which we have booked for this year.

Best show you’ve ever seen hands down? 

Difficult one! I think maybe Sondre Justad in Høllafæst 2023.
