As we kick off 2026 with our first post of the year, we want to send our warmest wishes to all our artists, industry, collaborators and partners for a fantastic year ahead. May 2026 be filled with great music, empathy and a kinder world. At our office we are looking forward to following and supporting our artists and their teams, as they continue to grow and reach new audiences worldwide in this new year.
As always, the year begins with one of our absolute highlights: Eurosonic showcase festival.
ESNS remains one of our favourite events on the European music calendar, and we’re thrilled that Denmark is represented this year by six outstanding acts, spanning a wide range of genres and artistic expressions.
Come see them live and join us at their shows in Groningen!
While in the Netherlands, we are also excited to meet our colleagues from the European Talent Exchange and discuss new break through artists, as well as catch up with the main European music festivals and export colleagues all around Europe.
Lastly, together with our lovely colleagues from NOMEX (The export offices of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Faroe Islands) we will be hosting a Ja Ja JA Lunch on Thursday, if you are an official ESNS delegate, please do join us! Its an excellent opportunity to meet the Nordic delegates attending the festival.

Danish Line up at ESNS 2026:

FINE
Fine is a Copenhagen-based singer-songwriter and producer whose music blends samples and acoustic and electric instruments into a groovy and ethereal crossover sound, both familiar and dreamlike. Her debut album, Rocky Top Ballads (2024), turns experiments into songs by cutting and layering band improvisations featuring loose-wristed-drums, a wide range of guitar sounds, bass riffs, reverb-soaked atmospheres, and real sound recordings — all woven together with Fine’s distinctive voice and lyrics. Fine has been nominated for the Music Moves Europe (MME) Awards, the EU prize for emerging European artists. Winners will be revealed at the award ceremony on 15 January, 2026 at ESNS.
Performance Time
Thu 15 JAN – Lutherse Kerk – 22:20-23:00

MAJKE VOSS
Majke Voss is a composer, singer and songwriter formerly known as Broken Twin. Following her critically acclaimed debut album May, she wrote and produced her forthcoming album herself, featuring prominent musicians from the Copenhagen music scene like Johan Wieth (Iceage) and Nils Gröndahl (Under Byen). Built from piano, bass, beats and distorted strings and centered around her soulful voice, the coming album – set to be released in her own name – is a development and expansion of her distinct songwriting and minimalistic, cinematic sound, widely praised in publications such as Rolling Stone, Vogue, The Guardian and The Sunday Times.
Performance Time
Fri 16 JAN – USVA – 20:50-21:30

ROYA
This Danish pop duo from Aarhus has lived through a meteoric rise, racking up millions of streams, and attracting a rapidly growing fanbase, as well as playing sold-out international shows. When the video clip of Ain’t Just A Game went viral on TikTok, messages started pouring in from all over the world, and it quickly became clear that the duo’s euphoric pop universe was a huge hit. Then, when they released the house-inspired track, Cruise, things really took off with ROYA appearing on more than 30 Spotify Viral Charts, and clocking up more than 44 million streams.
Performance Time
Thu 15 JAN – MXT Main – 20:40-21:20

SNUGGLE
snuggle is a relatively new alternative duo from Copenhagen featuring Andrea Thuesen (from Baby In Vain) and Vilhelm Strange (from Liss). They are known for their, dreamy lo-fi music, a blend of 90s grunge and shoegaze with eclectic 00s pop, weaving together ethereal guitar melodies and breathy vocals into a fuzzy sonic blanket. Debut album Goodbyehouse, out September 2025 on the Escho label, explores the bittersweet period between youth and adulthood.
Performance Time
Fri 16 JAN – VERA – 20:10-20:50

tonser
tonser whips up music from cold air and raw emotion. White-haired and near-mythic, tonser’s presence resembles a figure from long-forgotten tales with a voice forged by stormwinds and early 10’s EDM influences, he tells the story of endurance, connection and real love through vocal chops and attitude. tonser confidently blends cinematic northern soundscapes with explosive electropop, industrial trap-influenced production and deep emotional clarity, creating a brutal and alluring world.
Performance Time
Friday to Saturday night 17 JAN – Simplon Upstairs – 00:10-00:50

DØTRE
døtre delivers immersive art pop that moves freely across aesthetics, built on bold vocals, electronic textures and feminist perspectives. Their live shows dissolve the boundary between artist and audience, turning the stage into a sensory space where vulnerability and power coexist. With theatrical visuals and pointed social commentary, døtre occupies a distinctive position within the alt-pop landscape. Soaring harmonies, dense synth layers and emotionally direct songwriting come together in music that balances confrontation with tenderness, precision with play.
Performance Time
Thu 15 JAN – Club NOORD (Minerva Zuiderdiep) – 20:30-21:00
