Name: Kevin Christian-Blair

Company: Asylum/Atlantic Records

Title: A&R Manager

Based in: London

Can you tell us a bit about the company’s history and its roster? Asylum was founded in 1971 by David Geffen and operated a folk/rock label. It was relaunched in 2013 with Ben Cook at the helm. Who subsequently, sighed Ed Shearan, Rudimental, Charli XCX, Anne Marie and Mahalia.

– and a bit about the acts you personally work with at this moment? I’ve lucky been to be apart of the journey of all the above artist but my main fouse is building our next generation of acts signed to the label, Mahalia, Kojey Radical and nurturing Rudimentals lable Major Toms.

What was the moment you decided you wanted to work with music? When I came out of Uni, I struggled to get a job and realised if it is this tough, I might as well work in an industry that I love.

Who are you looking forward to seeing at this year’s SPOT? Kops, Ea Kaya and Chinah.

Best show you’ve ever seen hands down? My first festival experience, The Prodigy or Chemial Brothers.
