Name: Olivia Whitton
Company: They Do PR
Based in: London
Can you tell us a bit about the company’s history and its roster? They Do is a new Music PR Company based in London. Run by myself and my partner Dan Carson. I take care of all things Radio and Dan does the Press side of things. Both Dan and I have worked with new exciting talent such as many of our current artists (below). As well as working on more established acts at our previous companies such as The Strokes, Johnny Marr, Sunflower Bean, Royal Blood, Muse. They Do is passionate about new music and we specialise in emerging talent. We currently look after the likes of Nilufer Yanya, Anteros, Cassia, Alfie Templeman, Modest Mouse, Honeyblood, Matt Maltese, IDER, Sorry, EUT, Just Mustard and more.
What was the moment you decided you wanted to work with music? When I was around 16, left sixth form to do an internship at XFM and that was that.
What are your favourite Danish acts? I’m a big fan of Marching Church and Iceage. Looking forward to finding some new gems at SPOT Festival!
Best show you’ve ever seen hands down? Arctic Monkeys @ The Forum 2006 / Arctic Monkeys @ Roundhouse 2013 / Arctic Monkeys @ The Royal Albert Hall 2018 /
