Can you tell us a bit about the company’s history and its roster?

Selective Artists started as the indie division of Hamburg based agency A.S.S. concerts. In 2019 Selective Artists became it’s own company with a wide ranging roster from Indie to Pop, Singer-Songwriter, Neo Classic, Hip Hop, Pop, House and more!

And can you tell us a bit about the acts you personally work with at this moment?

I currently work with artists in three different set ups. As a European agent I represent Shelter Boy, Jules Ahoi and M.Byrd, as a GSA agent I work with Kaleo Sansaa, Donna Savage, Sam Vance-Law and more and as a promoter I represent Sofi Tukker and Joy Oladokun.

What was the moment you decided you wanted to work with music?

Very early on I know I wanted to work somewhere that had touch points with music, in the beginning the dream was music journalism. The key moment was at a concert where I saw a bit of the backstage and everyone working there. I quit uni and started my internship at Universal Music Germany and never looked back 🙂

Which acts are you looking forward to seeing this year at SPOT?

PRISMA, I am so stoked to finally see them live! And seeing M.Byrd live for the first time in another country is exciting to me as well.

Best show you’ve ever seen hands down? 

Phew – ever, that’s really hard! It’s somewhere between Taylor Swift, Queens Of The Stone Age, Idles, War On Drugs, Tame Impala and Patti Smith.
