[When Copenhell Freezes Over Networking] Meet Live Nation UK / Download Festival

On January 30th, Copenhell freezes over as 6 up and coming Metal bands take the stage at VEGA. Besides witnessing the bands, you’ll get the chance to meet the key Metal industry people, who’ll be attending the networking event prior to the concerts. Over the next weeks, MXD will introduce you to some of the people, whom you’ll get to meet.

Name & company: Dave Bradley, Live Nation UK / Download Festival

Tell us about your work: I’m the national promoter in the UK, specialising in alternative/rock/metal music as well as pro-wrestling with WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). I am also one of the band bookers for Download Festival, working with acts such as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Rammstein, Metallica, Aerosmith and Avenged Sevenfold.

What bands do you work with? I have worked with bands from club- up to arena- and festival-level. Acts include: Black Stone Cherry, Kindred, Architects, Bury Tomorrow, Of Mice & Men, Pvris, Yellowcard, Less Than Jake, The Used, The Amity Affliction + many more.

Do you work with any Danish artists? We promote bands like Volbeat and New Politics in our office.

Who plays the meanest Metal shows these days? I would have to say Thy Art is Murder are up there. I did two small underplay shows in 200 cap rooms for them last year in London, and the crowds were the craziest that I’ve seen in a long time. Metal horns all around!
