MXD, Crunchy Frog, Prime Collective, Riotville and Heartbeat inviterer til en netværksmiddag med musikbranchefolk fra Los Angeles inden for publishing, live and music supervision-arbejdet.

De amerikanske branchefolk kommer til København som led i MXD’s “L.A. Crushing on DK”, der har til formål at bygge bro og styrke samarbejdet mellem Danmark og L.A. Læs mere om projektet her

Gæsterne samarbejder allerede med nogle af de danske musikselskaber, men et hovedformål med projektet er at understøtte deling af netværk og viden på tværs af den danske branche, og det sker bl.a. ved denne middag, der er åben for alle danske musikbranchefolk.

Middagen finder sted onsdag d. 6 april kl. 17:00 på Kafeteria/SMK i København (Sølvgade 48-50)

Vi tilbyder et begrænset antal åbne pladser (i alt 10 pladser) til den danske musikbranche, idet vi ønsker at give plads til en personlig, kvalitativ dialog. 

Og da vi ønsker at give plads til så mange danske musikselskaber som muligt, kan vi maksimalt tilbyde en enkelt plads per selskab.  

Ansøgeren skal søge personligt. De ti danske deltagere udvælges af MXD’s direktør og to medlemmer fra bestyrelsen (d.29 marts), baseret på relevansen af ​​deres ansøgning til dette arrangement. Når først de er valgt, er pladserne personlige og kan ikke overdrages.

ANNA MARSH – SONGTRADR

For over 10 years, Anna has been managing the A&R departments for global sync licensing companies and has helped hundreds of artists get connected with ad agencies, music supervisors, and brands such as Coca-Cola, Unilever, ByteDance, and Airbnb to create powerful, musically driven campaigns. In her current role of Senior Manager, Client Services at Big Sync Music, a division of Songtradr, she provides strategic music solutions for advertising, film/tv, and video games through commercial music licensing, sonic branding, and custom music compositions.

MICHELLE CHO- A&R SAFARI RIOT & MUSIC SUPERVISOR

Michelle Cho is the Head of A&R at LA-based artist development company, Safari Riot, and a freelance music supervisor. Her prior work at JAX, a trailer agency, consisted of music supervising marketing campaigns for Malcolm & Marie, Euphoria, Dave, The Crown, Sound Of Metal, Tenet and more. Previously, Michelle was the creative director at Pusher, an artist collective specializing in sync licensing and bespoke music, working on award winning campaigns that ranged from Parasite to Joker. She was also the creative manager at Hit The Ground Running, a music supervision company overseeing projects such as the critically acclaimed film, Minari.

JUMEE PARK – DOWNTOWN MUSIC

Jumee Park is the SVP of Film/TV Music at Downtown Music where she oversees creative sync marketing and strategy for the Film, TV, and Promo medias. Prior to Downtown, Jumee managed creative licensing at Domino Records & Publishing, worked as an assistant music supervisor at Agoraphone Music Supervision, and has also worked at ASCAP, Sesame Workshop, and American Public Television. Jumee has a BA in English from Oberlin College and an MBA with a focus in Marketing from NYU Stern.

DEREK BREWER – SHELTER MUSIC

Derek Brewer has been an artist manager for almost 20 years. He first started as co-founder of Outerloop Management, based in Washington, DC, where they independently built one of the premier metalcore management companies in the early to mid-2000s. After his time with Outerloop, he eventually started his own company, Manifest Grp, upon arriving in Los Angeles in 2015 with clients such as Dance Gavin Dance, Palaye Royale, Dying Fetus, Veil of Maya, Volumes, and more.

At the beginning of March 2020, he merged his company with Shelter Music Group, with all his clients and staff, and continues to grow his roster and team, along with industry veterans who manage Fleetwood Mac, A Perfect Circle, ZZ Top, Godsmack, and more.

RACHEL BROWNJOHN – MOM & POP MUSIC

For over the past 5 years, Rachel has been at the intersection of music licensing and artist discovery. She previously worked at SoStereo Music Group as the A&R Manager, where she collaborated with notable brands such as Netflix, TikTok, Nike, Google, Johnnie Walker, Nissan, and HBO with a significant focus on championing emerging artists. Currently, she is the A&R/Executive Manager at Mom+Pop Music, working with artists such as Jai Wolf, Porter Robinson, SEB, Alice Merton, and more.

ANGELA ASISTIO – MUSIC SUPERVISOR

Angela Asistio is a music supervisor working in film, television, advertisements, and all things music. Her recent projects include Val with A24 and Amazon and commercials for the New York Times, Google, Ralph Lauren, Hennessy, and more. Prior to launching her own supervision shop, she cut her teeth as a music coordinator on such films as A Star Is Born and as an A&R coordinator on soundtracks for Mad Men, 50 Shades of Grey, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, and more. IAN WATTS  & JAMES MaCLEAN- ATOMIC MUSIC GROUP

Ian grew up in the music scene of Sacramento, California. He started playing in bands at a young age and was playing clubs by his freshman year of high school, while also recording his own band’s demo tapes. In time He was asked to record albums for friends’ bands as well, which eventually led him to open a commercial recording studio in Portland, Oregon called The Magic Closet (2005). Along with providing recording services for hundreds of local and national artists, he also began touring frequently in bands. After much time on the road and developing contacts from all over the US, Ian began working as a booking agent for a number of artists. He formed Hi-Wattage Booking in 2013 and joined Tone Deaf Touring in 2018 before finding a solid home at Atomic Music Group in 2019. Ian currently has a sizable roster of rock and metal bands that he works with for North American tour booking.

LAURA STUDARUS – JOURNALIST

Laura Studarus is a Los Angeles-based music journalist and producer of the “Why Not Both” podcast. Sometimes she can go several hours without a cup of tea.

MIMI FLORES – THIRD SIDE PUBLISHING

Mimi Flores is Creative & Sync Licensing Coordinator at Third Side Music. She pitches music for TV, Film, Promos, Trailers and Ads throughout North America and has worked on hundreds of projects. TSM is an independently owned Sync Licensing & Copyright Administration company, representing publishing for a number artists, including: Courtney Barnett, Kurt Vile, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Sky Ferreira, Blonde Redhead, Colin Stetson, Sofi Tukker, BADBADNOTGOOD, and catalogs such as Soundway, Studio One, Fire Records, Just Isn’t Music, Full Thought Publishing + more. Mimi is based in Los Angeles, California.
